The bar was undoubtedly set high: In the research project Functional Oxides Printed on Polymers and Paper â FOXIP for short â the goal was to succeed in printing thin-film transistors on paper substrates or PET films. Electronic circuits with such elements play an important role in the growing Internet of Things (IoT), for example as sensors on documents, bottles, packaging … â a global market worth billions.

Drs. Chaun Jang, Jun Woo Choi, and Hyejin Ryu of the Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST, President Lee Byung Gwon) have announced that their team at KIST’s Center for Spintronics successfully controlled the magnetic properties of FGT (Fe3GeTe2).
