[Thin-Films] – Organic thin-film sensors for light-source analysis & anti-counterfeiting applications
6 September 2022
In a recent publication in the scientific journal Advanced Materials (“Accurate Wavelength Tracking by Exciton Spin Mixing”), a team of physicists and chemists from TU Dresden presents an organic thin-film sensor that describes a completely new way of identifying the wavelength of light and achieves a spectral resolution below one nanometer.

[Wafers] – Engineers grow ‘perfect’ atom-thin materials on industrial silicon wafers
14 November 2023
True to Moore’s Law, the number of transistors on a microchip has doubled every year since the 1960s. But this trajectory is predicted to soon plateau because silicon — the backbone of modern transistors — loses its electrical properties once devices made from this material dip below a certain size.
